Hope you’re having a good week so far and I’ve got a surprise for you on my new artwork. Within this artwork that I have created with ink, there are hidden words and sentences. I will be creating a series of these.
At first I had not even thought about putting words and/or sentences into this artwork but then I thought how awesome it would be as if it had secret meaning. I drew it so it is difficult to find and if you are able to find it then you are AWESOME AND AMAZING!! When I started to draw this, I did not know where I was going with it, I had a blank canvas and just let my creativity run through me and into my 0.3mm marker. Sometimes it’s a good thing to leave some space for breathing and that is what I did as the drawing is complicated, intricate, and compact. I had nothing on my mind but I did have a lot going on at the time when I started to draw this and it seems to show that. Drawing or any type of creativity is a form of expressing yourself and an amazing distraction as you never know what you end up creating.
Here is the first of the series and it is called Life. The words and sentences hidden in this artwork are “Music” and “Life is beautiful.”
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and stay tuned for more of these series! Cheers everyone!
It’s the month of June and you know what that means? That’s right it’s quote of the month!
Always turn a negative situation into a positive situation. —Michael Jordan
Quote of the Month: June
So here comes the reason as to why I decided to pick this quote for this month. The reason is because in our daily lives whether it’s work related or non-work related, we always encounter some sort of situation. Lately I have encountered quite a few of negative situations myself and possibly many many years ago, I would be unable to turn a negative situation into a positive situation because I was just unable to see the positive side of the situation. I guess that was the teenage years when everyone goes through it so hopefully you understand what I mean by that. If not, then you are probably most likely a lot luckier than I am in life.
It is very difficult at times to see the positive side of negative situations but once you see the positive side of it, it will definitely help you solve the situation a lot easier and quicker. Also you can benefit from it by learning from the mistakes and what you did as a result to turn that situation into a negative situation. Say something goes wrong at a photoshoot like you forgot a prop, in order to turn it into a positive situation, you work with what you have in order to finish the photoshoot. Design wise, would be encountering with clients. I’m sure many of you have encountered negative situations with clients to the point where you don’t know how to make it into a positive situation.
As an example of what I mean by client negative situations is I had a client who was the middle person between the artist and I. I knew the artist personally but because the artist knew me personally, they crossed the boundary and had plenty of miscommunications which resulted to a lot of arguments. So it went from a positive situation, which was getting the client, into a negative situation, which was a lot of miscommunications and the order of which it should be, it was difficult to turn it back into a positive situation. By the order I mean, it was supposed to be the middle person communicating between the artist and I. So I would be speaking to the middle person and not to the artist directly. At that point, I was so lost in the negativity that I just didn’t know where to go or how to think of the positive side to all of this. In order to that situation into a positive one was to get the work done as quickly as possible and to limit all communication with the artist as the artist had went out of line and targeting the ones close and dear to me. Overall, from that example, I am sure you now know what I mean by turning negative into a positive situation. Once again you should learn to turn negative into a positive situation and the solution will come naturally to you.
I hope you enjoyed my post for this week and there will be more to come next week, I might spice things up and add another blog post so it would be 2 blog posts a week!

It’s time for quote of the month. I know a lot of people have the “perfection” type of spirit and personality since I am one of those people. I pay super close attention to detail and since I, myself, am not perfect, I do tend to miss that odd tiny thing out every once in awhile no matter what it is. Therefore, this month I chose this quote…
Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.
No one is perfect but we can always chase perfection the best we can to excel even further, pushing our limits. It is not easy and everyone knows that but it is kind of like a long term goal. For example, on a photoshoot, you would want to make sure that the make up, hair, clothes, etc. are all perfect so then you would have less retouching/post work to do. Another example, in design, no matter what type of design work, you would want to show your work in the most excellent presentation for your clients and the final product to be perfect so there are no mistakes whatsoever, the spelling is correct, the leading, the kerning, the position of things, etc is all in the right placement.
I know I was ranting on a bit about perfection and all that jazz. It really is not an attainable goal but you can almost get close to achieving near perfection. If perfection actually existed then there would be no room for further improvement and mistakes would not be made. The world is not perfect so it needs room for improvement.
